UNDERSTANDING THE DYNAMICS OF EMPLOYER SATISFACTION IN THE ENROLLMENT OF FRESH ENGINEERING IT GRADUATES IN INDIA

The impact of internal, individual-specific, external, contextual, institutional environment, and labour market-driven factors on employer satisfaction was assessed in the present study in the context of enrolling the fresh engineering graduates in information technology based industries in India.

The present research study has followed quantitative research method approach and has used purposive sampling technique; the study has examined 370 employers as managerial delegates, who conduct campus placement drives in the AICTE approved colleges/institutions/universities in and around Mumbai, India for the enrollment of fresh engineering information technology graduates.

GENDER CONTRASTS IN EMPLOYER’S PERSPECTIVES IN THE RECRUITMENT OF FRESH ENGINEERING GRADUATES IN THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECTOR

The research presents and summarizes the similarities and dissimilarities in recruitment decision making patterns of fresh engineering graduates in the information technology sector of India in the contrast of gender.

The present research study has adopted purposive sampling technique; a sample of 368 responding human resource managers was leveraged to identify the gender based differences and comprised 166 male human resource recruiters and 202 women recruiters. The study deployed exploratory factor analysis to compare the recruitment decision making style and respective perceptions about the employer satisfaction. The study concluded that male and female recruiters differ substantially in their approach to recruitment decision making with regard to hiring the talent from engineering institutions.
